There are few places on earth like Nepal where you can enjoy so much diversity in such a small place. And, Pokhara is such a lovely destination that no words can express it's beauty. This is not only an "Ode to Odyssey" but certainly once in a life time there to be. And, Tushita Eco Resort (meaning dewelling place of future Buddha) is an agriculture-based resort practicing Eco-tourism in a tranquil countryside about 11-km south to Pokhara Valley. The resort is built in rice field terraces amidst the forest where beautiful scene of the valley, cliff, water fall, hills and rills can be observed. Moreover, the Annapurna range, including Macchapuchhre (Fishtail), can be seen as if in a stone throw distance. The snow-clad mountain painted in a crimson paint in twilight is magnificent and the whiff of fresh air is more delightful. In short, the atmosphere is something like a poet's "A song born on a quiet night" so melodious, so sweet, so delightful- a perfect Shangri-La. Here, you feel as if you are close to heaven. A touch of happiness tingles in your heart. Pokhara valley- simply a paradise where you can see, feel, touch and be with the nature in this life without practicing any religious act. What is need is a pure to love the nature and a deep desire to be with the nature.

Who is the Concept Maker?
Mr. Rajesh Shrestha, a Nepali business expert, has a profound love to Nepal and Nepalese. The natural beauty of Nepal and the utmost sincerity of the Nepalese people encouraged him to promote Eco Resort practicing PERMACULTURE. But, on the same time, despite of the open treasure he is disappointed to see poverty and the lack of civic consciousness in Nepalese people. Nepalese people work very hard but without much idea. So, he took an ardent resolution to awake the Nepalese people and make them work with putting ideas. Moreover hankering to be a teacher, he had a deep desire to teach "The art of living" to the Nepalese society. Consequently, he set up Tushita Eco Resort in order to contribute in the field of Nepalese agriculture and tourism.

What is the basic concept of TUSHITA ECO RESORT?
Tushita Eco Resort is an agriculture- based resort with a new concept of Eco- tourism. As far as possible, all the needed food products for the resort has been attempted to produce around the resort's premises in an area of 74 ropani. No doubt, this is something new, something special in the field of tourism. Firstly, to provide immense entertainment and knowledge to the visitors about the "Art of Farming" (Viz. organic fruits and vegetables, crops and herbal plants, bee keeping and animal keeping) and an attempt for the best use of products in an ecosystem way is the major concept. Secondly, to encourage the local villagers in farming and to let themselves make their livelihood better is another concept. And, thirdly, use of natural materials in the cottages and practice of organic farming in such a tranquil countryside shows the "Real Happiness" to be with the nature. And this is the principal concept of the resort.

How is the resort look like ?
Imagine... stone roofed cottages in a hill- top amidst green forest and green agriculture terraces down-looking valley and villages, rivers and forests, green hills and sky touching snow-clad mountains in the background. Isn't it beautiful? Now, this sort of images does not remain mere imagination. Tushita Eco Resort is one of the such a few resort in the world where the "The touch of happiness" befalls on to you forever and forever.

The resort is made up of stone, mud and wood in order to give natural appearance to the resort. Just 20 minutes rough rice field drive and hand pulling Cable car takes you up to the resort. Your tiredness disappears wherein you reach there. There are 11 cottage type guest rooms built in a hill-top, amidst the forest from where one can see the dramatic views of forest, river, cliff and valley and the majestic Annapurna Himalayan Ranges in the background. Walls built up of just stone and mud, wooded parquet rooms, and stone roofed cottages give you an opportunity to experience 'Simplicity and Originality'. Modern amenities like T.V, Telephone, Jacuzzi has been cut- off in order to provide natural pleasure to the clients. Instead, open television of the stars- full sky, bees buzzing and the birds chirping provide you the immense pleasure for the nature lover.

Japanese style round bronze bath- tub 'Goemumburo' is another interesting part of the resort. And, beautiful mountain views can be enjoyed from the Goemumburo. As a whole, the resort gives you an unobstructed panoramic snow- clad Mountain View including Mt. Machhapuchhre just in a stone throw distance. If there is any disturbance you feel that is nothing but fluttering chunk of white clouds in the blue sky, frolicsome monkeys or eagles and parrots fly.

Pure Nepali food is prepared by the hands of typical Nepali girls. It is wholesome and palatable because of the fresh vegetables and natural environment. All kind of vegetables, fruits and meat are the resort's own products. One can walk around and observe herbal plants and farming terraces. Fresh fragrance of the whole environment gives you a handful of knowledge and a heart full of passion to be with the nature. Hence, the resort is beautiful not only because of pretty gardens and amazing decorations but because of sheer simplicity. Because we believe "Simplicity is the beginning of nature and the last of an art."
At last, long explanation with sweet words is not enough to describe in detail about the resort. You have to be there once in order to seize the real ease of nature. In short, it is something like a poet's 'A song born in a quiet night', a musicians beautiful melody, an artist's beautiful creation and as a whole- dreamer's dream.
